I have a big love for ASOS and spend far too much time on their app, creating a huge list of saved items and narrowing it down to what I can actually afford to put in my basket. I now do most of my clothes shopping on ASOS – it’s just too easy! So when they added MAC to their already fab list of skincare and makeup brands I knew my bank account was in for some trouble!
One of my favourite things I discovered was the MAC Times Nine palettes. MAC eyeshadows are fairly pricey but I’ve always wanted to try them and I think these mini palettes are the perfect solution. Although they’re only palm-sized with pans just bigger than a five-pence piece you get the chance to try nine carefully curated MAC shades for less than the price of two full sized shadows. While you might think it’s too small I’ve never hit pan on an eyeshadow so I’m not worried about the size! The palette has a great mix of shades; from light to dark and shimmers and mattes. They all perfectly compliment each other so it’s super easy to get a gorgeous look every time you use the palette. All the shades are beautifully pigmented and blend really well, although, I would say to watch for fall out and my palette was a bit messy straight away -which is one annoying thing about it being so small.
I loved this look I created when I was going out for a few drinks – I balanced the pigmented colours with soft blending and used the darker shades to keep it slightly smoky. I felt glamourous without using liner and lashes and combining my eye look with Nars Orgasm blusher and Charlotte Tilbury Platinum Blonde liquid lipstick kept it feeling pretty and bright. I also think this palette would be great for a dark smoky eye or going really grungy – completely opposite to my makeup here but I think it would look fab!
